MGD’s second restaurant reimagined an old Austin staple on Manor Road. The old Eastside Café sat in this building for 30 years. MGD opened the space up, exposing large wood trusses to provide height and visual depth to the main dining space. Ridge skylights bring in natural light throughout the day and create playful shadows with the trusses. A deep-set skylight above the host stand features a custom mural, creating an interesting visual perspective and focal point upon entry. A custom tile design by MGD creates a compelling backdrop at the bar and kitchen. Este is a Michelin Guide listed restaurant.
